Before starting chemotherapy, my doctors were very clear on the fact that I would lose my hair, so my family and I started kind of preparing for that and looking for what my options were. After probably a month of wearing hats, I was getting really sick of it and really realizing I missed having hair, so my dad suggested that we go to Bravadas...I thought it would be nice just to see my options there and so we went and tried several on. [They] have a lot available, and [they] really listened to what I was wanting in a wig and what I didn't want in a wig, and she really helped me find the perfect one. Now I just feel a lot more like myself... I can look in the mirror, and feel like I don't have cancer in a way because I see that I have hair again. It's not a constant reminder.
